Small hospices for care in the last phase of life.

A Buurtzorghuis is a hospice: a homelike place where people who are seriously ill can spend the last phase of their life, with care that is tailored to them, personal and professional. There is attention for family and friends as well as for the guest.

The Buurtzorghuis hospices were started by nurses from Buurtzorg Nederland who wanted to offer the same kind of care they give at home to people who can no longer stay there.
