Joost de Blok appointed co-director of Buurtzorg
Former community nurse Joost de Blok joins his father Jos as co-director of Buurtzorg Nederland, with a view to eventually leading the organisation.
In December 2023 Buurtzorg Nederland appointed Joost de Blok, a former community nurse, as co-director alongside founder Jos de Blok. The intention is for Joost to gradually take on more responsibility and eventually lead the organisation, while Jos remains closely involved.
The supervisory board ran a careful selection process, involving external experts and consultation with Buurtzorg's own staff, to make sure the appointment was based on merit.
