National Walker Race 2025
Older people from across the Netherlands took to the track with their walkers at the Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam.
On 21 May 2025 the National Walker Race returned to the Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam. Participants could walk a short distance or a full lap of the athletics track, cheered on by family, carers and Buurtzorg teams.
The race began as a small neighborhood event in Amsterdam and has grown into a national day out. It is organised by the Olympic Stadium with Buurtzorg as a main partner, and exists to encourage people to keep moving, together.
