Visit from Korea

On May 25th 2018 a delegation of the Ministry of Health and the National Health Insurance Service from South Korea visited Buurtzorg. We welcomed them at a Buurtzorg team office in The Hague.

First we walked to a client's home, accompanied by Buurtzorg community nurse Joyce van der Ham. This visit and meeting Ben gave a good impression of how Buurtzorg nurses work with their clients.

Always a very special part of a study visit and highly appreciated by the visitors and clients. To see "The Buurtzorg Model" in action...that's where the penny drops!

Back at the team office we started with an interactive session; all the different cornerstones of Buurtzorg were thoroughly examined, which gave the participants a good understanding of Buurtzorg and The Buurtzorgpension (guesthouse).

During lunch one of the participants was already thinking of the next steps back in Korea!

Looking back on this day, it was very successful.
