Buurtzorg’s care and operating models are centered around collaboration. Since 2007, we have expanded our partnerships with all other care disciplines: domestic care, psychiatry/mental health, PT/OT/ST, youth care, primary GP care, hospice, maternity care.
Internationally, Jos de Blok and his creation of Buurtzorg are considered an extraordinary example of how to structure an organisation that is decentralised, sustainable and adaptable to societal paradigm shifts (a “teal” organisation, as described in Reinventing Organizations by Frederic LaLoux).
